Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a tattoo appointment?

The best way to discuss a project with an Artist is through their Artist page.

Each of our Artists has a profile page featuring a portfolio of their work with a consult form or a link to a booking page.

Once you submit a form, your Artist will contact you directly to discuss how best to move forward with your request.

When will I hear back from my Artist?

Each Artist is responsible for communicating with you to discuss your project,  schedule consults and appointments. Our Artists try to reply within a week or so, but this will depend on their schedules. Please be sure to answer every question your artist asks when you reply - it will speed up the process!

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, your Artist will request a retainer (a deposit or booking fee) when you accept an offered appointment date. The retainer is non-refundable and non-transferable.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

We require a minimum of 72 hours notice to move any appointment to another date.

If you or your Artist are sick, your retainer will apply to your rescheduled appointment, with one rebook permitted per project.

IF:

You do not attend the scheduled appointment

You are more than 15 minutes late for the scheduled appointment

You reschedule with less than 72 hours notice

You change the tattoo design without sufficient notice, aside from minor adjustments,

a new retainer fee will be required.

While this is Shop Policy, please confirm with your Artist their personal policy when you are booking your appointment(s).

How much does a tattoo cost and how do you charge for tattoos?

Your artist will base the cost on the amount of detail, size and time required to complete your project. You chose the Artist whose work best represents the style of tattoo you want, and the rate they provide is specific to your project and the outcome you desire.

Is there a minimum tattoo cost?

Because we accommodate Short Notice and walk-in tattoos, a minimum would be any tattoo that takes less than an hour to finish, so the minimum price is 1 hour of the available Artists' hourly rate.

Are Walk-Ins Welcome?

We are open by Appointment Only.

We do have Artists who schedule walk-in availability, typically on weekday afternoons, and we post availability on IG and FB stories with how to contact the Artist about their availability.

We do also accommodate Short Notice Tattoo requests for palm-sized pieces or smaller, as Artists have availability or cancellations. The more flexible your schedule is, the easier it is to accommodate. This is typically within a week or so of your request.

At the bottom of our Artists page, you can follow a link titled "Ask us about Short Notice Availability" and fill out a form so an Artist can get back to you.

Do you do cover-ups?

We do have Artists who would love to discuss your cover-up project.

This will require an in-person consultation to plan out how best to proceed.

Planning a cover-up is worth the time for the consultation and discussion because we want you to be happy with the end result.

What payment types do you take?

Typically we accept cash or E-transfer.

Discussing this with your Artist before your appointment is best, so you come prepared!

When should I arrive for my appointment?

We ask you to arrive promptly, 5 minutes before your appointment is perfect.

Please contact your Artist when you arrive; they will meet you in the lobby and bring you up for your appointment.

If you arrive earlier, be prepared to wait for your Artist in the lobby while they are busy setting up for your appointment. Your Artist will bring you up as soon as they are able to do so.

Can I use my phone during my appointment?

If you plan on watching/listening to media on your phone during your appointment,

headphones are required.

We ask that you respect other artists and clients who prefer a single sound source while you visit our studio by using your headphones and listening at a reasonable volume so as not to distract your artist.

We request that you do not use your speaker phone for phone calls during your appointment as it can also be distracting to others.

We have reminders posted throughout the studio, so please come prepared!

Can I bring a guest with me to my appointment?

Extra Guests are limited to people who have scheduled matching tattoos.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring your own snacks and drinks for your appointment, and headphones should you plan on using your phone.
