Kay has spent more than a decade refining her artistic style through studio work, tattoo conventions, and guest spots across Canada. Throughout her career she has worked in multiple tattoo shops while continuously evolving her approach to illustrative black and grey tattooing.
Her work is heavily influenced by the natural world, including birds, flowers, insects, mushrooms, wildlife, and prairie landscapes. At the same time, she draws inspiration from horror films, folklore, antique imagery, taxidermy, and occult themes, creating a unique balance between beauty and darkness.
Outside the studio, Kay enjoys gardening, birding, hiking, travelling, reading, and collecting antiques and taxidermy. These passions often find their way into the custom artwork she creates for clients.
